How we collect, use and protect data

1. Introduction

Actowiz Metrics ("Actowiz Metrics," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, APIs, and services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Name, email address, company name, and phone number when you create an account or contact us
  • Billing information when you subscribe to paid plans
  • Usage data including API calls, endpoints accessed, and feature usage
  • Technical data including IP address, browser type, and device information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services; process transactions and send related information; send technical notices, updates, and support messages; and respond to your comments, questions, and requests.

3a. Data Processor Status and Scraping Limitations

Actowiz Metrics operates exclusively as a Data Processor under global data protection frameworks, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not maintain, archive, or own long-term proprietary data repositories of the web information extracted on behalf of our clients. Once a requested automated workflow finishes processing public-facing web data, the output is securely and directly routed to the respective client. Actowiz Metrics does not commercialize, rent, license, or resell any extracted target datasets to third parties. Furthermore, our automated workflows are explicitly designed to capture operational business data, pricing metrics, digital shelf analytics, and public product catalogs; our systems actively discourage and filter out the harvesting of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as personal emails, non-public phone numbers, or financial credentials.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who assist in our operations, when required by law, or to protect our rights. All third-party service providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. We hold ISO 27001:2013 certification for information security management.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@actowizmetrics.com.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including: access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@actowizmetrics.com.

8. GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process personal data under lawful bases including consent, contract performance, and legitimate interests. We offer Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) for enterprise clients.

9. CCPA Compliance

For California residents, we comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data sales (we do not sell personal data).

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website with a revised "last updated" date.

13. Client Reference & Marketing Usage

By engaging with Actowiz Metrics LLP for any services, the Client grants Actowiz Metrics a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to reference the Client's name, logo, and high-level description of the services provided for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to website case studies, presentations, and sales materials.

  • No confidential, proprietary, or sensitive business information will be disclosed without prior written consent.
  • Any case study or reference will be presented in a generalized and non-sensitive manner unless explicitly approved.

If the Client prefers not to be referenced, they may notify Actowiz Metrics in writing at any time, and Actowiz Metrics will promptly remove such references within a reasonable timeframe.

14. Use of Client Information for Marketing

We may use publicly available or non-confidential information related to our client engagements, including company names, logos, and general project descriptions, for promotional and marketing purposes.
